Shape Up!

I am going on a diet. No, wait. You're not supposed to call it a diet. I'm going on a lifestyle change. Errrrr... right. So, I just had a baby 3 months ago and I feel like that gives me the right to be a little chunky! But, do I really want to be chunky? Uh, no. I want to look like a Victoria's Secret model! Is that ever going to happen? Probably not.

I am a very curvy girl. The smallest my body will go to is a size 8 and that is skin and bones. A size 10 is the perfect size for me. So, I have 4 1/2 sizes to lose. How am I going to get there? I know, I know! I'll sit on my butt all day and eat fast food! Oh, wait... That's what got me here. I'm not a very active person. I used to be, but now when I'm active I get out of breath really fast. And I hate that feeling. So, my reasoning is if I don't push myself too hard, I won't lose my breath, so I will feel good. Um, but look good? Not so much.

I'm trying to find a lifestyle change.. plan.. thing.. for a lazy girl. A picky eater. A very busy new mom. Does anyone know that plan?! Anyone?? Mmmkay.. Sounds like I'm going to have to create this lifestyle change-plan-thing-whatever on my own. This should be fun...

This is me now. Hopefully, I'll be able to post a slimmer, more fabulous picture in the future.

  1. I do! I do! The perfect diet for picky eaters and people who don't have much time... it's called the Idiot Proof Diet. The last time I did it, I lost 50+ lbs, and I started it again 2 weeks ago, and am already down 11. I'm on WTE (that's how I found your blog) and go by emilyclaire. I also have a fb badge at the bottom of my siggy. I'll be happy to give you more info if you want. And I PROMISE I'm not selling something. Just trying to help a fellow mommy out. :)

  2. Found out on WTE!

You and I both are going for the lifestyle change! I am however about 23lbs lighter then I was when I first got pregnant, how is that possible when most people GAIN weight after a baby? Well heres the story. (sorry for it being so long)
I was 217lbs at the beginning of Mar 09 (and a size 23), from the middle of April til the end of June I was sick every single day, making me loose 17 lbs. The day before I delivered Maxim, I was 215lbs, only gaining 15lbs the entire pregnancy for I had NO urge to eat because I was never hungry (very unhealthy for sure). After I delivered Maxim I went down to 184lbs, which with the rapid weight loss made me have problems with my gallbladder. Since having Maxim I went up to 201lbs, but I'm back down to 194lbs because of the nice weather we have been having and me walking almost every single day. It's been about 5 years since I have been this small, but I feel that since I got the headstart on the weightloss, I need to have a lifestyle change in order to reach my goal weight of 180lbs! It still makes me "obese" but that's almost 40lbs lighter then I was!

Good luck on everything, and I hope it's okay but I added you to my follow list!

  3. I found your blog on WTE too. I HAVE to start something to lose this baby weight too. My plan is to pick up the dvd 30 day Shred on Friday and start to work out everyday. It just takes 20 mins a night, so hopefully it will work. It has great reviews though.
